Bonnic: Sonic X Bonnie
This is one of my more frequent pieces of content. Yep, I ship Sonic and Bonnie! I call them "Bonnic" now, though I used to say "Sonnie" but didn't like how that sounded. Honestly, I'm not even sure why I shipped them together, but it started as a silly, one-off idea out of sheer boredom (I was getting sick of all the mainstream Sonic ships like Sonic/Amy, Sonic/Shadow, etc.). It just grew into something bigger.
What really hooked me was the unique, almost uncharacteristic dynamic of Sonic being in love with a robot, especially since robots are usually his main adversaries! And not just any robot – a huge animatronic bunny rabbit. I just love rabbit characters, and Bonnie from Five Nights at Freddy's is definitely a favorite. While Bonnie is a canon killing machine and nightmare fuel to some, I actually find his design pretty cute (and oddly appealing?). Giving him a more human-like personality, mixed with his slightly scary or intimidating look, creates a really cool juxtaposition. Plus, I'm a fan of size differences, and even though Sonic and Bonnie are an extreme example, it's really fun to imagine them bonding.
So, in my lore, Bonnie and his friends are pretty different from their game counterparts. They're basically what the Glamrocks could have been if they hadn't gone through a modern redesign. Instead of being destroyed by fire, left abandoned, or scrapped by some evil exec, in my universe, Bonnie and the other Freddy's characters have evolved with time. Thanks to upgraded tech and AI advancements, Bonnie and his animatronic pals have developed their own personalities, skills, and even human-like traits like caring and loving those who visit the establishments. For Bonnie specifically, ongoing experiments and even some failed projects from Fazbear Entertainment (plus a few tweaks from Tails!) have given his loving nature some more 'quirky' improvements, letting him be romantically involved. And that's how his evolving relationship with a speedy blue Hedgehog came to be!
